Moneymaking

As we all know, patch 3.2 just hit us right in the face.

After about 3 hours of lagging etc, I've already made 2k gold on doing NOTHING.

How did I do that?

Gems! Uncut GEMS!

Which ones?

Cardinal Rubies

To get them you can do the following:
Buy one for 20xEmblem of Heroism
Buy one for 10.000 honor from either Captain O'Neal or Lady Palanseer.
Or buy one for 5xDalaran's Jewelcrafter's Token from Timothy Jones.

Do this while you can.

New 5-man. Strategy and Review

Here's a little help for the new 5-man located inside the Argent Coliseum.
Zerg.
Yes, you heard me, ZERG.

Inside the instance you participate in 3 boss events.

Event 1.

Description:
In event number one, you fight against 3 randomized "champions" of the tournament.
Each champion have 3 adds with them, call them squires or whatever.

Phase 1.
You fight against 3 waves of adds (The ones the champions brought) on the Argent Warhorse mount so you will need a lance.
Tactic:
Use the same as against the champions and valiants in the dailies.

Phase 2.

Description:
Mounted combat against the 3 champions.

Tactic:
Similar to the fight above, you fight on the mounts against the champions.
It's not hard but if you loose your mount, you have to get another one.
NOTE:
When you defeat a champion, make sure someone tramples him by riding over him, that way he can't pick another mount.

Phase 3.

Description:
Tank&Spank

Tactic:
In phase 3, you just kill whatever champions you face, no real strategy other then common sense (Healer first etc.)

Event 2.

Description:
In event 2 you face either Eadric the Pure or Argent Confessor Paletress.

Tactic:

Eadric:
He will bring four groups of adds with three adds in each.
Nuke all the adds to start the fight against Easdric.
During the encounter, melee dps must turn away from him once he uses his ability that blinds people (You will see a big text on your screen).
He also tosses a hammer that does roughly 15k damage on a random raidmember every x seconds.
Difficulty - **

Paletress:
She will bring four groups of adds with three adds in each.
Nuke all the adds to start the fight against Paletress.
During the encounter, she will heal herself but let a rogue/dk/warrior/mage etc interrupt it.
At about 50% she will pretty much turn immune and summon a big demon to help her.
Kill the demon and then return to nuking Paletress.
Difficulty - **

Event 3.

The Black Knight.

Description:
You now face the ultimate champion, he who you thought was defeated has returned to fulfill his task.

Phase 1.

Description:
Supereasy tank&spank fight.

Tactic:
Zerg.
He will also summon a ghoul to aid him, either kill the ghoul or just leave it.

Phase 2.

Descritpion:
A bit harder tank&spank, good AoE is helpfull.

Tactic:
TBK will now use the Army of the Dead spell and summon alot of ghouls to aid him.
Every x seconds he detonates a ghoul.
Watch out for the ghouls, when they ewxplode, they hurt.
And DPS, just zerg him.

Phase 3.

Description:
Easy tank&spank fight.

Tactic:
Tank pick him up and dps nuke the hell out of him, yes, there is only zerging on theese bosses.
Difficulty - **** without good AoE/AoEtank. ** with AoE/AoEtank.

Overall review:
The fight itself is pretty decent, only HUGE downside is that there's a 5 minute (about 25-30 seconds) cutscene before every event which is a pain to listen to.
It's a good attempt at creating a good instance and bring in the mounted combat but, in my opinion, it failed.
If you do this on normal you will get free abyss crystals if someone can DE and on heroic it's the same but with 1x EoC and 1x CS per boss.
So, how many + will this instance get?
I give it ONE.
Why?
The instance takes less then 15 minutes to complete on either normal or heroic and the cutscenes are very annoying.
Conclusion:
If you need free iLvL 200-213 epics, go for it, they are free.
If you got 4/5 conq like me, you have nothing but abyss crystals and free emblems/seals to get.

Below is a video on the fight from the PTR, it's the same now though.

Koralon - New boss inside VoA

This small guide will cover most of the information you need to down Koralon the Flame Watcher.

10-man abilities:
Meteor Fists – Attacks inflict damage split evenly to nearby targets within 10 yards of the primary target. Applies Meteor Fists. Duration: 15 seconds.
Meteor Fists – Inflicts 100 to 125% Fire weapon damage, split with nearby targets.
Burning Breath – Inflicts 3,900 to 4,100 Fire damage to all targets every 1 second for 3 seconds.
Flaming Cinder – Inflicts 3,900 to 4,100 and another 2,925 to 3,075 Fire damage every 1 second to enemies within 4 yards of the Burning Cinder. Leaves a spot of blazing fire on the ground.
Burning Fury – Increases damage dealt by 5%. Activated when Koralon is engaged and stacks every 20 seconds.

25man abilities:
Meteor Fists – Attacks inflict damage split evenly to nearby targets within 10 yards of the primary target. Applies Meteor Fists. Duration: 15 seconds.
Meteor Fists – Inflicts 100 to 125% Fire weapon damage, split with nearby targets.
Burning Breath – Inflicts 3,900 to 4,100 Fire damage to all targets every 1 second for 3 seconds.
Flaming Cinder – Inflicts 5,363 to 5,637 and another 4,388 to 4,612 Fire damage every 1 second to enemies within 4 yards of the Burning Cinder. Leaves a spot of blazing fire on the ground.
Burning Fury – Increases damage dealt by 5%. Activated when Koralon is engaged and stacks every 20 seconds.

Strategy:

When engaged, Koralon does roughly 7k AoE damage to ALL the raidmembers (Around 15k in 25man) and a good setup for a 10man is:
3 healers.
2 tanks.
5 dps.
What you SHOULD have is either a shaman or a paladin for either Fire Resistance Aura or Fire Resistance Totem since Koralon the FLAME WATCHER use, guess what, firespells.
Throughout the fight, Koralon tosses a fireball on 2 random targets and when it hits, it leaves a spot with some fire on, GET THE HELL OUT OF IT!.
Also, having two tanks makes it easier for the MT due to his "cleave" ability which damages every target infront of him.

Here's a small vid to show you the fight:

Remember, do NOT forget your fire extinguisher!
You will need it!

Goldsellers

Selling ingame currency in games such as World of Warcraft.

A thread on the website MMOwned shows us how some of the goldsellers get their gold.

If you can't register or you are just too lazy:

The way I discovered this:

Stumbled across a 'bot' in Storm Peaks and decided to check him up on the armory - It then became apparent there was more than one!

Now, let's start the reporting shall we?

New updates.

So today the new patch is going live in the country you call "USA".
The humans in "USA" will enjoy seeing me in my 3.2 state (5x bigger, 10x stronger!....yea just kiding.) and fight inside the Crusader's Coliseum and have an easier time collecting endgame (3.1) epics through emblem of conquest.
Yes that's right.
The emblemsystem has been revamped.
ALL heroics/raids/heroic raids up to Ulduar25 is now dropping emblem of conquest instead of -heroism and -valor.
And a new token has been added which will drop inside the new raidinstance, Trial of tha Crusader, called emblem of triumph.

Inside the Crusader's Coliseum, you can do the following:

A.) Try out the new dungeon/heroic - Trial of the Champion.

Description:
The instance is split into 3 encounters and bosses will change slightly depending on your faction and randomness.
The first encounter is a fight against 3 champions of the opposite factions. The first part is a mounted combat just like your daily quests, the second phase is a conventional fight.
When you're done with the faction champions, you will either face Eadric the Pure or Argent Confessor Paletress. (This is totally random)
The last boss is the Black Knight.

B.) Try out the new raid - Trial of the Crusader.

Description:
In the Trial of the Crusader, players are able to gather up some sweet t9/9.5 loot and other yummy stuff.
The raid can be completed in the following:
10 man normal/heroic.
25 msn normal/heroic.
Yes, 10 man HEROIC.

We also get a new battleground to fight against those smelly hordes!
The isle of Conquest.
"TioC" is a 40vs40 battleground and is almost a "Alterac Valley+Arathi Basin meets Wintergrasp"-like battleground.
Each faction get their own "castle" and the opposite
faction is going to destroy it.

More information about the new patch can be found here.

My Place

Thought it was time to show where I sleep.
It isn't much, but I only pay 50 gold per month.

It isn't too safe, but I sure feel safe since I got the master of the SI:7 living right under me.

NEWSFLASH!

EXTRA EXTRA!

Mathias Shaw has been spotted flirting with an assassin that tried to take the life of Lady Proudmore a while back (25/12/2008).
To see photage from the whole assassination, continue reading.

Background story:
It was late night, Lady Proudmore was doing her evening routine when suddenly, she heard some noises.

It was the guards who'd spotted an assassin.
They fought against her but she managed to kill them without getting a single scratch.
This is where Mathias Shaw comes in, he was lurking the shadows of Stormwind City and heard the fighting and went to see what was going on.
He fought against the assassin and they were about the same in skill.
After a minute or two fighting, the assassin spotted Lady Proudmore and rushed against her to take her life.
But she failed.

Mathias drew the assassin out of town, or well, chased her to the gates.
And according to an anonymous witness (The one who recorded it all),
the "farewell" were really emotional for both Mathias and the assassin.

Photage:

And today at 03:13 am he was spotted ontop of the Stormwind gates, making out with the assassin.
The witness to this action has disappeared myseriously.
Is it true or is it just gossip?
Our undercover reporter, who's name I cannot reveal, is investigating this whole mess.

And that leads to the following:
Where is Proudmore?

Finally.

Finally, we got the 56-kbit connection we demanded from our landlord, Mathias Shaw, leader of SI:7. More info about him here.

But don't tell anyone that I know him!

As you may or may not know, I've got this job from an old friend of mine, Elling Trias.

Sure he's a busy man, making his famous cheese and all.

But he decided to start a little newspaper.

That's how "The Daily Life In Azeroth" started.

I've been so busy running around in the newly found place called Ulduar which was found by the famous explorer from Ironforge, Brann Bronzebeard.

It's a terrifying place unless you got the guts and the courage to face all the faceless horrors inside.
And if you've started laughing, you have NO idea how it is to see your best friend be torn apart by a pair of tentacles.

But after a while, things got boring and I couldn't afford my repairbills. And exactly at that point, Elling Trias had sent me a letter explaining that he'd started a newspaper etc, and I took the job!
So here I am, reporting almost 3 times a day on what is going on in the daily life in Azeroth.
